Project Description
This MTA projects intent is to procure, install, integrate, and test of Connection Oriented Ethernet (“COE”) equipment at three hundred sixty-three (363) Branch Sites, interconnecting these Branch Sites into forty-nine (49) COE Branch Loops with twenty-three (23) Core Site locations that are connected to MTA’s COE Network. Work is being performed at locations throughout the Boroughs of Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens.
Five Star Electric’s scope of work is to connect, integrate, and test existing Ciena Service Delivery Switches (SDS) at one hundred fifty-one (151) Branch Sites. Replace approximately 150,000 feet of existing singlemode outside plant fiber optic cable across sixty-five (65) cable spans with new fiber 36-strand singlemode outside plant fiber cable. Develop Quality of Service (QoS) templates for up to twenty (20) different Ethernet Virtual Connection (EVC) types for configuration of up to seven hundred fifty (750) EVC Circuits. As well as integrate existing IP closed circuit television cameras at one hundred twenty-five (125) stations to the existing NYPD Genetec video management system (VMS) and NYCT Qognify Physical Security Information Management System (PSIM).
